Exercise Prescription

Our pets need strong and mobile bodies to withstand the stresses of every day life. Exercise is key in animal strength and conditioning and AS Animal Physiotherapy provides expert, tailored exercise programs to help your pet reach their goals. Whether it's to recover from injury or surgery, lose weight, manage stiffness or improve overall health.

In-house Rehabilitation

This is the home of the Southwest Canine Rehab Centre which means that our team will help to guide your pet through a structured program in a dedicated exercise space with specialised equipment.

Equipment Prescription

Sometimes your pet may need specialised equipment to help them move and live well. AS Animal Physiotherapy can assess your pet for the most appropriate and safe mobility aids.

Structured Walking Programs

Walking is an integral part of the recovery process for our dogs and sometimes it's not as simple as just 'going on a walk'. We offer structured recovery walking programs for dogs who have specific activity limitations. Let your Physio professional take the fear out of walking your dog after surgery, injury or chronic condition flare ups.

Home visiting

Sometimes our pets feel stressed about leaving home especially if they are visiting a clinical setting. We provide home visiting so that your furry companion can still receive care in the comfort of their own home.

Telehealth consulting

Can't get to our clinic or don't live in Southwest WA? No problems. We offer Telehealth consults so that your pet can start their treatment immediately.

My husband has been sceptical about the exercises I've been doing with Makenna.

I'm pleased to say that after taking her to the beach this morning, seeing her bounce around then run a couple hundred metres up the beach, then lollop back to him with a grin on her face, he's really amazed

So thankyou

The proof is in the pudding as the old saying goes.

Maggie is terrified of vets and places where she receives treatment, she looks forward to coming to see you Alex. So kind and patient with Maggie and so informative for me thank you.

I swear by Physio, Alex is always my first go to if I am worried about anything, either with my own dogs or my Fostered Greyhounds. If it's something she can't put right then next stop is the vets and very often they will work together. A lot of aggression can emanate from pain somewhere in the dog's body and they can't tell us. A physio will soon find out where that pain is manifesting from - if it's skeletal, muscular, ligaments or joints.
